A lot has been happening as the days countdown. We have been very busy, and it's only getting busier:
-We've just been emailed the proofs for our wedding invitations and we love them. We can't wait to get them out! Hopefully we'll be sending those out in early August.
-The tuxedo's have been picked out and the fittings will commence. We got a great deal from President Tuxedo because:
1. Ang went to a bridal show over a year ago and got a big coupon (and we all love coupons).
2. We have a large bridal party, and because of the size, we got an ever larger discount!
The tuxedo's are sharp. We wanted something a little different, but nothing drastic.
-This weekend we finally came up with our table centerpiece's for the reception hall. We were stumped! Through the help and creativity of Miah's Aunt Claudia, we have something really beautiful and simple to decorate each table. Plus, it's extremely inexpensive!
-We've met with Pastor Smith a few more times! Our marriage class is actually a lot of fun. We scored off the charts on our compatibility test. We're learning a lot more about each other too, which is great and we're growing in our faith together--which is priceless. We have a couple more meetings to attend. Pastor Smith has arrainged a meeting for us with a member of the congregation who is a professional financial investor to go over finances, budgeting, etc in the life of newlweds. We're both fiscally conservative, but we have a lot to learn and this will be a great way to gain some valuable advice. It should be a lot of fun. Our pastor is a great guy, we absolutely love him--even though he's a St. Louis Cardinals fan too (but we believe he is a Tiger's fan first, which is a good thing). We have many Tiger/Cardinal rivalries in the Hoehner family! 2006 still haunts us....
-The shower is just around the corner. Ang's mom has been working her butt off and has come up with some awesome games and prizes, and some beautiful and fun decorations. We're very excited about the shower. Ang's cousin is catering the event, so we know the food is going to be great. Plus, Miah and the men will be serving the ladies, which will be very nice!!!
-We also have settled on the wedding favor for our guests to take home. It's a surprise!
-We had an official taste-testing at the reception hall. We were blown away at how good the food tasted. Being that we're both "food lovers", this might be the most exciting development for us over the past few weeks!!!
-Miah ordered his bridal party gift for his Best Man and groomsmen. Being a large group of guys with all different backgrounds and interests, he wanted to find something interesting that all the guys might enjoy and get some real use out of. Something different than the usual men's bridal party gift. It too is a surpise! Ang also ordered her gifts for her Maid of Honor and bridesmaids! Guess what? That is also a surprise!
-The wedding rings have arrived! We have to pick them up from the jeweler, but they are beautiful. Cameron, our jeweler, is amazing and if you live in the Metro-Detroit area and want a terrific, personable, creative, honest jeweler with absolutely gorgeous jewelery, go to Premier Jewelers. Tell 'em Miah sent you!
PREMIER JEWELERS:

There is still so much more to do! We'll do better at updating this thing, we promise!
We look forward to seeing you all very soon!
God Bless!
